Season 7's fourth place finalist, Jason Castro, announced on Friday that he will be a first-time dad. He made the announcement in a blog post on his official website.
"Now, I am excited to announce that there will be a new addition to the Castro family! My wife and I are expecting our first child this August. We just found out yesterday that it is going to be a girl! haha that makes me laugh... what am i going to do with a sweet little girl?! probably just smile alot... i cannot wait!!!"
Jason married Mandy Mayhall January 2, 2010 in Texas. He's spent the past few years promoting his music and touring. Jason just wrapped with Winter Jam, a Christian tour.
