Chicago Bears Have Two Issues On Offense, Work On One In First Round
The Bears came close to reaching the Super Bowl this year, something few people outside the Windy City would have guessed.
But if they have hopes of returning to the NFC Title Game, and getting through it this time, they have two serious issues to address on offense. One is wide receiver, but with the top three prospects gone by their selection, they'll look to address that other ways.
Fortunately, the draft's top guard will be available when they select, and the Bears will pounce on Pouncey.
It's surprising that Pouncey would still be available here, but interior lineman just rarely go inside the top 20. And with the teams ahead of looking elsewhere, they'll catch a break. Of course adding Pouncey won't instantaneously correct the NFL's worst (by sack stats at least) pass protection unit, but it will give them more options and a great athlete.
