‘Moon Over New Jersey’: Chris Matthews Mocks Chris Christie’s Weight
Hardball host Chris Matthews appeared at a local event in Washington D.C. on Thursday to trash Republican Chris Christie as too fat to be President. The Washington Examiner reported that Matthews derided the New Jersey governor, mocking, “Chris Christie is moon over New Jersey, he should not wear white shirts, I tell you that.”
He continued, “I saw him the other day and I was amazed by it, he must be 300 plus, and that’s something he’s just gotta deal with because you’re not going to say, ‘I’m going to cut the budget,’ well, how about starting with supper?”

Hip-hop ranked high on Amazon's best-selling singles list for 2010, with Eminem and Nelly notching top spots, while country music reigned supreme on the best-selling albums list as Taylor Swift and Lady Antebellum took the top two positions.
Katy Perry's "California Gurls" featuring Snoop Dogg took the top spot on the singles list. Rihanna appears on that list twice, as a collaborator on Em's "Love the Way You Lie," which landed at #2 behind Perry, and with "Only Girl (In the World)," which came in at #7. Bruno Mars ("Just the Way You Are"), Nelly ("Just a Dream") and Enrique Iglesias ("I Like It," featuring Pitbull) round out the top five singles list.
The e-commerce retailer released its year-end list of the top 20 best-selling music albums and singles for the sixth consecutive year.
Grammy contenders Taylor Swift (Speak Now) and Lady Antebellum (Need You Now) were the top two sellers on the albums list. Arcade Fire (The Suburbs), Susan Boyle (The Gift) and Eminem (Recovery) complete the top five.
Earlier this week, iTunes also released its year-end list: Em topped the albums list with Recovery and Train topped the singles list with "Hey Soul Sister."
The Detroit MC certainly had a good 2010. He was named MTV News' Hottest MC in the Game in October, and his "Love the Way You Lie" was named the #9 song of the year in our list of the top 25 songs of 2010.

Banned: New Fast Food Restaurants in South L.A.
The Los Angeles City Council has banned new stand-alone fast food restaurants in South L.A., citing rising health concerns and the need for more food choices in the area.
“This is not an attempt to control people as to what they can put into their mouths. This is an attempt to diversify their food options,” councilmember Jan Perry told KABC in a seemingly contradictory statement.
KABC reports:
New stand-alone fast food restaurants have been banned from setting up shop in South Los Angeles, due to rising health concerns by the city council.
How many fast food eateries does one area really need? The Los Angeles City Council thinks South Los Angeles and South East Los Angeles need new choices as these regions face an over-concentration of such restaurants.
“This is not an attempt to control people as to what they can put into their mouths. This is an attempt to diversify their food options,” said councilmember Jan Perry.
Perry’s new plan bans new so-called “stand alone” fast food restaurants opening within half a mile of existing restaurants.
Such stand-alone establishments are on their own property, but those same restaurants are OK if they’re a part of a strip mall, according to the new rules.
“Give a grocery store and a housing combination a chance to come in,” Perry said.
The city says around 72 percent of restaurants in South L.A. are fast food establishments, which is much higher than West L.A. and countywide averages which range in the 40s.

Democratic Caucus Votes to Reject Obama Tax Compromise
Reports that House Democrats were warming up to President Obama’s tax rate compromise with Republicans appear to be wrong. In a closed-door meeting of the House Democratic caucus, Democrats voted to reject the deal and are expected to do the same thing when the plan officially hits the House floor.
From The Hill:
The House Democratic Caucus on Thursday rejected the tax deal negotiated between the White House and Senate Republicans.
The non-binding vote held during a closed meeting of the caucus puts tremendous pressure on House leaders to fight for changes to the proposal.
“I don‘t think there’s any doubt that [Speaker Nancy Pelosi] will follow the caucus,” Rep. Lloyd Doggett (D-Texas) told reporters.
This is a breaking story. Updates will be added.
Digging Into Agriculture With Deere and Titan - Seeking Alpha
Where we’re going, we don’t need paved roads. The agriculture sector is comprised of several quality companies. Market experts dwelling on diversification and getting exposure to commodities are demonstrating, quite simply, prudent investing. Where does an investor start? The mere mention of futures contracts furrows brows and increases heart rates. Let’s take a look at two companies profiting from the upturn in global agriculture.
Equipment manufacturers currently have a “virtual hedge” by being exposed to agriculture and construction trends. There may be a short window of time where construction activity returns in full-force while agriculture stays strong. It certainly is possible, but buyers beware!
In these unprecedented times, the fear of an inflation monster lurks over the market and commodities are the benefiting class. The general agriculture space is seeing increased margins due to rising commodities prices. When farmers make money, they would rather take an income deduction by “buying paint” (machinery), than pay the taxman. Large equipment purchases can approach $200,000-300,000.
Keeping this in mind, the party in machinery-related stocks like Deere and Titan will likely be over if commodities fall steeply. Many wise traders have spoken these words: Commodities take the stairs on the way up, and the elevator on the way down.
Disclosure: I have no positions in any stocks mentioned, and no plans to initiate any positions within the next 72 hours.

Anthony Weiner Questioned by Megyn Kelly on Fox News
Testy, Combative Anthony Weiner Simply Cannot Shake Steely Cool of Fox’s Megyn Kelly Megyn2 – Mediaite
I have 2 words "Typical Democrat". I am so glad to see Anthony Weiner continue to step up as the Democrats poster child. Especially when he is basically shredded by none other than Mrs. Megyn Kelly. I have been waiting a long time for someone to rip this guy a new one. Although Kelly didn't fulfill my dream of tearing into this loser, she did stop his idiocy right in it's tracks. It has been frustrating as hell watching these libtards ruin our Country, and Anthony Weiner is a perfect example of today's Progressive Democrat. If you have far left views which equate to basically no values at all, and a big mouth to spew plenty of venom at anything with which you disagree, you fit right in. I mean, when is the last time you have seen a Progressive fight for anything that actually makes sense? Oh, they can dress it up, blame the Republicans, but you soon find out that there is ALWAYS some type of hidden agenda. You have to remember that Democrats are great at one thing, other than wrecking someone's life.. spending other people's money. If you are a far left jealot and end up reading this, answer me one thing.. PLEASE! Who in Gods name votes for these idiots.. like Weiner, Barney Frank, Franken, Pelosi, Reid, Boxer, and on.. and on.. and on? More importantly.. WHY?
Anyway, great job Megyn!
May God help us.

Alex Da Kid: Dr. Dre Trusted Me With 'I Need A Doctor'
Producer talks to Mixtape Daily about Eminem-featuring Detox track.

Behind the Beats: Alex Da Kid
At this rate, Alex Da Kid might want to consider changing his name to Alexander Da Great pretty soon.
The British beatsmith was nominated for five Grammys this week for his work on B.o.B's blockbuster hit "Airplanes" and Eminem's chart-topper "Love the Way You Lie." He also produced Nicki Minaj's "Massive Attack."
While he only has a few placements under his belt, the producer has a knack for knocking what he does do out of the park.
His next big single comes courtesy of his work with Dr. Dre.
The veteran hip-hop producer invited Alex Da Kid to work with him on a track for his forthcoming Detox project, "I Need a Doctor" featuring Eminem.
"That was amazing," ADK told Mixtape Daily about the experience. "He's one of my favorite producers of all time. Everybody knows how much of a perfectionist he is: He's been working on his album for 11 years. For him to bring me in, trust me, not micro-manage me, and let me bring what I do to the table, I can't even describe how that makes me feel."
The song recently arrived online, and on the number, Eminem attempts to turn the tables on his mentor. The MC credited Dre with being one of the people to help him out of his funk the past few years, so on "I Need a Doctor," Em looks to repay the producer.
"It hurts when I see you struggle/ You come to me with ideas/ You say they're pieces, so I'm puzzled," Eminem raps on the track. " 'Cause the sh-- I hear is crazy/ But you're either getting lazy/ Or don't believe in you no more/ Seem like your own opinion is not one you can form/ Can't make a decision/ You keep questioning yourself, second guessing/ It's almost like you're begging for my help/ Like I'm your leader; you're supposed to be my mentor/ I can endure no more/ Don't you remember who you are?"
"I think it's gonna be huge," Alex Da Kid said. "It's just my opinion, but it's one of my favorite songs that I did and just what it means for hip-hop."
Next Wave of Flav
On T.I.'s "Castle Walls": "I feel like they both relate to the song: Both T.I. and Christina Aguilera are on a comeback, and they could really relate to the message on the hook. And they're both iconic, to me, so you can never count an icon out."
On Diddy-Dirty Money's "Coming Home": "That's the most-added at radio over the last three weeks, which is cool."
On Rihanna's "Love the Way You Lie (Part II)": "That may be a single soon."
