iPhone 4 Unlocked Amazon

What Does iPhone 4 Unlocked Mean?

What Does iPhone 4 Unlocked Mean? Unless something has changed in the last month, and it very well may have without my knowledge, today the only GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) aka carrier you can utilize for the iPhone is AT&T. If you unlock the iphone 4 you would be able to use other GSM carriers such as Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon, etc. Please understand that I am in no way encouraging anyone to unlock their iphone. I did however want to explain what "iphone 4 unlocked" means. If you would like to learn more about it please check out this article from June 2010, when Apple announced you could buy the iphone 4 SIM free and unlocked.
One of the reasons or a benefit for unlocking your iphone 4 would be if you decide to switch carriers. Your SIM Unlock iPhone removes the restrictions imposed by your network provider, and you can switch carrier SIMs to take the advantage of lower tariffs, cheaper roaming, and increased resale value of a SIM Unlock phone. The SIM Unlock solution allows you to switch networks as well as jailbreaks your iPhone to free up your mobile from downloadable software restrictions. Jailbreaking and/or SIM unlocking the iPhone have become a common practice due to their numerous advantages.

To read more about the benefits and advantages of iphone unlocking, please read "iPhone SIM Unlock and Jailbreaking Software Benefits", or please visit my blog on Hubpages.
