Wednesday's Season 10 premiere of American Idol introduced us to new judges, a new intro, and Yoji Pop. When American Idol traveled to New Jersey, it wasn't all fake tans and fist pumps. There were heartwarming stories, big voices booming from little packages, and lovable family members.
The show addressed the American Idol headlines of the summer and introduced judges Randy Jackson, Steven Tyler, and Jennifer Lopez. I thought the judges had great chemistry, and despite their superstar status, they seemed accessible and down-to-earth. Steven Tyler seemed to have a grand time in New Jersey-beating the judges' table like a drum as contestants performed. Jennifer Lopez's nurturing, motherly side came out as she consoled contestants. The dawg, Randy Jackson, kept it real and wasn't afraid to tell it like it is.
We saw the good, the bad, and the Michael Jackson impersonator, and at the end of the day a huge number-51 contestants-made it to Hollywood! See all of the New Jersey auditioners in this brand new photo gallery.
