Here’s the 2011 NFL schedule for the Pittsburgh Steelers:
Week 1 Sun, Sept. 11 at Baltimore Ravens CBS 1 p.m. – Pittsburgh won two of three against Baltimore last season, including the one that mattered most – a 31-24 victory in the Divisional round of the playoffs.
Week 2 Sun, Sept. 18 vs. Seattle Seahawks FOX 1 p.m. – The Seahawks marched into the playoffs after becoming the first team in NFL history to win a division with a losing record and knocked out the then-defending Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints in the first round.
Week 3 Sun, Sept. 25 at Indianapolis Colts NBC 8:20 p.m. – Pittsburgh’s first prime time game of the season is a must-see as its vaunted defense tries to slow down Peyton Manning.
Week 4 Sun, Oct. 2 at Houston Texans CBS 1 p.m. – This is Pittsburgh’s third road game in four weeks to start the season but the Steelers should be alright. The defending AFC champs were 7-1 on the road last year.
Week 5 Sun, Oct. 9 vs. Tennessee Titans CBS 1 p.m. – The Steelers forced seven turnovers in a 19-11 victory at Tennessee in Week 2 last season.
Week 6 Sun, Oct. 16 vs. Jacksonville Jaguars CBS 1 p.m. – The Jags blew a shot to win the AFC South with three consecutive losses down the stretch.
Week 7 Sun, Oct. 23 at Arizona Cardinals CBS 4:05 p.m. – The Steelers went 3-1 against NFC opponents in the 2010-11 regular season. A 20-10 defeat at New Orleans in Week 8 was their lone blemish out of conference before losing to the Packers in the Super Bowl.
Week 8 Sun, Oct. 30 vs. New England Patriots CBS 4:15 p.m. – Pittsburgh will be looking for some payback after falling 39-26 to Tom Brady and company a season ago.
Week 9 Sun, Nov. 6 vs. Baltimore Ravens NBC 8:20 p.m. – Hopefully this year’s edition of the Ravens v. Steelers Sunday Night Football showdown is as good as last year’s. Troy Polamalu made a big play to help the Steelers pull out a 13-10 victory in last season’s Sunday nighter at Baltimore.
Week 10 Sun, Nov. 13 at Cincinnati Bengals CBS 1 p.m. – Pittsburgh was 5-1 against division opponents last year. That mark includes a 27-21 win at Cincinnati.
Week 11 Bye
Week 12 Sun, Nov. 27 at Kansas City Chiefs NBC 8:20 p.m. – Winning at Arrowhead Stadium likely won’t be easy. The Steelers lost their most recent visit 27-24 in overtime in 2009. The Chiefs were 7-1 at home last season.
Week 13 Sun, Dec. 4 vs. Cincinnati Bengals CBS 1 p.m. – The Bengals only won one road game a year ago.
Week 14 Thu, Dec. 8 vs. Cleveland Browns NFL Network 8:20 p.m. – This is a potentially tough spot as Pittsburgh will tackle Cleveland with just three full days to prepare.
Week 15 Mon, Dec. 19 at San Francisco 49ers ESPN 8:30 p.m. – This is Pittsburgh’s only Monday Night Football contest of the season. The Steelers won their lone Monday Nighter 27-21 at Cincinnati in 2010.
Week 16 Sat, Dec. 24 vs. St. Louis Rams FOX 1 p.m. – The Rams finished 2-6 on the road a year ago.
Week 17 Sun, Jan. 1 at Cleveland Browns CBS 1 p.m. – The Steelers buried the Browns 41-9 at Cleveland in Week 17 last season.
