The 2011 NBA Playoffs are just days away, and already the money is flowing through the Las Vegas casinos like water. Millions of dollars are wagered every year on the NBA playoffs. When it comes to betting on sports in Las Vegas, the NBA playoffs are second only to the NFL regular season and the Super Bowl!
So who do Las Vegas odds makers think will win the 2011 NBA Championship title?
The L.A. Lakers!
The Lakers are a 2/1 favorite in most casinos, meaning most people believe that Kobe Bryant and the Lakers will be the last team standing and holding up the Larry O' Brien trophy once again.
Behind the L.A. Lakers as the front runners to win the NBA title are the Miami Heat, Chicago Bulls and the Boston Celtics.
While the Western Conference match-ups are almost set, the Eastern Conference pairings are ready.
The Eastern Conference shapes up this way:
#1 Chicago Bulls vs. #8 Indiana Pacers - The Bulls will roll Indiana.
#2 Miami Heat vs. #7 seed Philadelphia 76ers. Miami swept Philly 3-0 this season. The song remains the same in the post season.
#3 Boston Celtics vs. #6 New York Knicks The Celtics won all three meetings of this series in the regular season, but New York is a much different team with Carmelo Anthony and Chauncey Billups. Upset?
#4 Orlando Magic vs. #5 Atlanta Hawks. The Hawks won the season series 3-1. Dwight Howard should change that in this series.
Who do you think will win the 2011 NBA Championship this year? Will the L.A. Lakers "three-peat", or Will Lebron James bring a title to South Beach?
The 2011 NBA playoff schedule gets under way this Saturday with the start times to be announced.
Will the 2011 NBA Finals be a L.A. Lakers and Boston Celtics rematch again this season?
